The safety of our community is our number one priority therefore the club is temporarily closed. We are planning for a September start, if the situation allows.
At this point we are still waiting for updates from our governing body; British Fencing, to give us official regulations.
Please check our website regularly as new information will be added accordingly. Meanwhile, please register your interest for joining us from September on email@example.com.
You can find the latest updates on Covid19 guidance here: https://www.britishfencing.com/covid-19-latest-news/
Please note at this stage you need to use your own fencing equipment as we are not allowed to provide club equipment. You can order it online from the below brands:
What equipment to buy:
Glove (your sword arm)
Socks (fencing appropriate)
Plastron (under-jacket protector)
Plastic chest protector (optional for boys, required for girls)
Epee body wires
All fencers must have valid British Fencing Membership. You can purchase your membership on the below link:
Staying COVID-19 Secure in 2020
We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with British Fencing, St Luke's Church Earls Court, and with the coaches.
We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
We are taking all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance; no flashing the opponent, no handshaking, no shouting during bouts, no close combat.
