We are delighted to restart the fencing club. Classes are deliberately kept small to give children more individual attention. Please contact us to arrange the most suitable class for you.
Following the latest rules, maximum of 6 fencers are allowed in each group. There can be multiple groups at the same time socially distanced.
Autumn terms dates:
7th Sept - 19th Dec, 2020
Please find the latest updates on Covid19 guidance here: https://www.britishfencing.com/covid-19-latest-news/
Please note at this stage you need to use your own fencing equipment as we are not allowed to provide club equipment. You can order it online from the below brands:
What equipment to buy:
Glove (your sword arm)
Socks (fencing appropriate)
Plastron (under-jacket protector)
Plastic chest protector (optional for boys, required for girls)
Epee body wires
All fencers must have valid British Fencing Membership. You can purchase your membership on the below link:
Staying COVID-19 Secure in 2020
We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with British Fencing, St Luke's Church Earls Court, and with the coaches.
We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
We are taking all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance; no fleche on the opponent, no shaking hands, no shouting during bouts, no close combat.
